I will be interviewing Charles R. Cross about his book "Room Full of Mirrors" about Jimi Hendrix Nov. 20 on KCSB around 2pm. I was highly influenced by Jimi's music when I was a teenager. Having been a big fan of blues, soul, and rock & roll while I was growing up, psychedelic music was a stunner when it came up in the  60's to me. Such power, noise, and it could make you dance like a whirling dervish when it was good. I remember playing all of Jimi's music but the album"Band of Gypsy's" was turned up to the maximum on my stereo. "Machine Gun" from that album is a song that I can still hear and remember where I was at when I first heard it. I was at my friend Johnny's house and we were in the mood for new stuff. "Have you heard this new album?" my friend asked us. Then he put this on and we were off into new territory. Let's all put a Jimi Hendrix album on and imagine ourselves in a electric church with Jimi playing his music with the choir.
