It's time for the last show of The SBBS for this year. We've had a great year of music with Roomful of Blues, Li'l Ed and The Blues Imperials, and more. Tonight Jimmy Thackery and James Harman at The Earl Warren Showgrounds with doors opening at 7:30 and the show starts at 8:30. I will also be handing over the "Lucille" model guitar that we , the SBBS, will be giving to a lucky raffle winner. This raffle is a special project that raises funds for a "Blues in School" project. We want to keep the blues alive and must do this through our youth. Now I have to look for another fund raiser for next year. Maybe a chance to win a blues cruise? We are going to be moving from here when our house in Ventura sells and moving to Spokane, WA. I hope that the blues society up there is active and hope I can support their cause. Maybe I'll just go there and enjoy the music.
