This Sunday I will be on my blues brothers, Wayne Wilcox, radio show interviewing the artist in the picture here Fruteland Jackson. We, The Santa Barbara Blues Society, will be presenting Fruteland to the local students of our schools all next week. We have got to keep blues in the minds of old and young. I met Fruteland several years ago in Jonesboro, Arkansas at a blues symposium. I presented a paper on Robert Johnson and a movie that has been said to be Robert Johnson. Fruteland was doing a blues in school program there and I was impressed with his knowledge and ability to make the music and stories enjoyable. I look forward to seeing and hearing Fruteland again.
