The picture above is of Nilagia McCoy the general manager of KCSB 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara. Nilagia is very energetic and on top of many projects. She is always prepared with facts and figures whenever I talk to her about KCSB. We have had many student general managers. I remember some fondly. I am excited to be involved with this young group of radio programmers. I remember the first week I was in the KCSB studio. There was a young student at the controls and he was playing three records, yes records, at once. It was noise to me but every once in awhile the three songs merged into a beautiful sound. I asked the dj, Dave I think his name was, "What are you doing?" Dave said " I am making music." I was floored by his answer because it hit me hard in my heart and soul. I was very inspired to do the very best I can to uphold what Dave said. I can't play any instrument well but I can program to the best of ability my passion, music.
