Yes, we are in New Orleans. A very special place with good friends, good music, and good food. As we all know Hurricane Katrina rolled in here almost two years ago and destroyed a lot of New Orleans. We took a "Katrina" tour and even though lots of time has passed some places look abandoned, destroyed, and very sad. We have seen the writing on the walls of the houses describing if anyone died there, pets died, houses abandoned, and what was found. I , and so many others, are stunned at the desolation and wondering if New Orleans will come back. Mold is everywhere and there are FEMA trailers are still in peoples yards. I heard many stories of disasters and heroism. The human story is one of bravery and abandonment. Will New Orleans come back? If what I see around me is any sign well I think it will come back but with a lot of help from caring people and lots of real work. I hope it does because it does have a lot of spirit.
