I enjoyed being at Cozy's last night. I was asked to judge The Santa Clarita Valley Blues Societies competition to send a blues band to The International Blues Challenge (IBC). There were 6 bands competing and I enjoyed seeing the effort put out by all. Thanks go out to John Parker and crew for putting on a very well organized event with quick transitions with the bands and of course for making the effort to support all the bands. This is my 5th battle of the bands I've judged for the local blues societies. I've also had the pleasure of judiging in Memphis for the IBC earlier this year. The winner of the Cozy's/Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society was The Jeff Jensen Band. Congratulations and give 'em hell in Memphis.
